Party Trivia - Privacy Policy

Party Trivia ("the app") is a living-room trivia game for Roku where players answer from their phones. This policy explains what the app collects and why.

What we collect

• Player display name. When you join a game from your phone you type a name or nickname. It exists only for that game session and is shown to the other players in the same room.
• Game data. Answers and scores for the current game. Room data is stored on our server and expires after 4 hours without game activity.
• Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, request times) kept briefly for security and debugging.

What we do not collect

• No account or email address is needed to play. The optional beta list and feedback form are separate.
• No advertising identifiers, no analytics trackers, no cookies for tracking.
• No purchase of data from third parties, and we do not sell your data. Cloudflare hosts the app and processes data needed to operate it. Google Fonts serves the web fonts and may receive your IP address when a page loads.

Purchases

The current beta has no checkout and collects no payment details. Any future paid release will describe its payment terms before purchase.

Children

Playing requires only a display name. Use a nickname rather than a full name. Adults should handle beta signups and optional contact details. Player names are not moderated; hosts should keep room codes private to people they know.

Data retention

Game rooms, names, answers and scores are deleted automatically within 4 hours of the last activity in a room.

Roku beta signups

If you join the Roku beta list at triviko.com/beta, we store your email address and (if you give it) your name - used only to send you the beta access code and beta-related updates. Entries are deleted within 120 days of signup. We record the time of your consent. Email support@triviko.com anytime to be removed.

Optional feedback

If you send feedback or report a question, we store the message and any name or contact detail you choose to include. Question reports can include the room and question identifiers. The most recent 500 feedback entries are retained; email support@triviko.com to request deletion. Do not include sensitive information.
